Getting oriented - post before class on Tuesday, 2/3. If you're having problems, let Mark know.
1. Open APP: http://ssad.bowdoin.edu:8671/
2. Log in with the user name & password given to you in class on 1/27
3. Click on your name (listed on the right, under Users)
4. Bookmark the page. I suggest you always enter GSP at your User Page
5. Click 'edit' This will open up your edit window.
6. Feel free to write over everything in this window except for the bottom line of code: {snips-by-user:username}.
7. Enter text. To play around with text formatting, visit snipsnap-help: http://ssad.bowdoin.edu:8671/space/snipsnap-help
8. Preview your text by clicking 'preview'
9. If it looks good, click 'save'
1. Open your User Page, if it's not already open
2. Click 'edit'
3. Put brackets around a word to make it the link to a new snip Example: [word]
4. Click 'save'. You should see that word hyperlinked like this: [create word ].
5. Now click on the newly hyperlinked word
6. Enter in text as you did above, preview if you want, & save. Now you've created a snip linked to your User Page
Now that you know how to make a snip, try making one off of text someone else entered. When you edit someone else's snip, the only change you'll make is adding those brackets into the text.
When you're done, make sure you log out.
